Yeah, we had Series 1 up here on History Channel, last summer. Although there is some interesting car content, too much of it is staged drama between the two lead characters. To me, it runs more in the vein of that father and son chopper show. I was hoping for something more along the lines of Wheeler Dealers. Not even close.
However, there is an interesting Canadian car show called Restoration Garage, which follows the activities at David Grainger's Guild of Automotive Restorers. Much more real car content, much less scripted drama. Season 1 of that show followed the recreation of the Bugatti Aerolithe. Very interesting.

Yeah, the formulaic approach to these shows is painful. It's downright frightening when you consider how many of them there are, here in NorAmer and Europe. I'll have to look into what's happening in Japan...
