"Build your own car in an hour!" is the promise. Can they deliver?

  1. Haven't seen any proof that a single vehicle has been delivered to an actual customer (not a beta tester). Here's an interesting, more updated article.

  2. That's actually a very interesting idea. Could work but I wonder about how safe it really is. What about if it rains or snows?

  3. Interesting. It looks like the owner has to add (or create) a body for weather protection. I imagine that is not included in the 6000 euro price estimate.

I went through various bits of info on the web. I can see evolution happening before my eyes. The original concept used a nice compact leading-arm front suspension. It was very similar to the front suspension of a Citroen 2CV. The latest version uses a much more conventional wishbone and McPherson strut. I am not sure I like the "organic" evolution via open-source if the effect is to add weight and complexity.
