Oddly, no AWD option will be offered initially.

Speaking of the soon to be released Hyundai Ioniq, here's another vehicle coming that's on the same platform. Obviously, it's a subcompact CUV. This time around, it just gets the hybrid and plug-in drivetrains.

The interesting bit is that we're seeing a shift in design across several makers wherein vehicles like this are not looking like what we picture as hybrids. Smart move, but will buyers appreciate it? Our guess is no; they want their neighbors to know they're saving the planet. Which they're not, of course.
