1975-1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Giardinetta

Thanks Nessa, for reminding of the Alfasud estate! The model is so well known to most REVolutionaries, that it would be insulting to discuss the specs. But it should be noted that it did live on in some countries past 1979, just in very limited numbers. How long and how many exactly, I've never been able to precisely ascertain. Regardless, it's worth recalling the two-door wagon, dubbed the Giardinetta.

    I absolutely love the period livery. Also, what a well appointed wagon (from a "wagon" standpoint): a real roof rack, a useful and beautifully finished cargo area. I assume this was a support vehicle for an Alfa team. I spotted a Mille Miglia sticker on the back. I could not make out the larger decal on the rear quarters.

    And what a neat collection all around. It reminds me one of the regulars on "Bring a Trailer". A Greek guy, as I recall, but his name escapes me (waiting for coffee to kick in).

      Right? I found this video last year and have watched it several times since. It's definitely a stunner. And regarding the guys' collection (or collections like it)...it must be nice to be rich.
