1961-1969 Fiat 2300 Estate

The 2300 is historically notable because it (specifically the sedan) was the first to offer an automatic from the company. Here's one that you could put in your virtual driveway for just $75. Make sure you don't accidentally run it over on the electronic autobahn.

  1. First, that 3D modeling stuff is really cool! I wonder what is involved, and what they start with. Now, on to the car, this is a handsome wagon indeed. I was reminded of the Peugeot 404 from some angles (another of my favourite wagons).

    1. I used to do a lot of 3D work years ago, but things are a little different these days. Basically, you take a bunch of pictures or a laser scans the object, software enterprets the data and the designer cleans it all up. It's actually fairly straightforward. Not to say it's easy, tho.

    2. OK, thanks for that explanation. It is interesting that you have done some 3D work. Now, another question: what might someone do with a 3D model like this if they purchase it?
