K2 Drives: Realization

These things keep me up at night, I tell ya.
Woke up the other morning and had a realization concerning the Shadowagon's replacement; I'm not interested in anything with less than 200 hp and 200 torques. There have been plenty of times where I haven't cared about those numbers and I'm not a speed hound, but this round, I don't want anything with less. So there's that.

    When I read this, it made me think: I have only ever owned one car that had more than 200 bhp, and that was a 67 Jaguar. I still have the next-most-powerful car in my history, and that is a 146 bhp Focus. I find it quite quick.

    Do you think it is the ever-increasing weight of modern cars, and things like AWD that raise the requirement for that much horsepower?

      I get that, for sure. But that's not where I'm at this round, personally. Do I NEED all that hp? No. Do I want it and there's literally no reason NOT to have it, given the range of cars available to us? YES, oh yeeeeees.

      And your last point may be completely accurate; I'd tend to agree. But that's not a factor for me.
