  1. Are we going to get this wagon here in the USofA?

  2. Sigh..... why oh why do manufacturers assume that North Americans don't want small wagons? Ford and Honda both have these in their world-wide line up, but "oh no, you can't have those". Even the 5-door hatches are only grudgingly offered (Ford went 4 years without, Honda even longer). Only the Koreans seem to understand.

Anyway, some really nice features on that Civic Estate. Those Cinema Seats are something I have not seen anywhere else. Great thinking, as height can be a limiting factor for loading sometimes.

    1. I'm not sure about everywhere else (I assume it's the same), but we got the "Magic" seats in the Fit. I agree, it's a neat idea. But frankly, it's of very little use to me. What's more important to me is a flat floor with the seats folded. I can't remember the last time I thought to myself "Gee, if only I had more vertical height when putting something in the back seat." Instead, I just lay it sideways. I suppose that's not a great solution with things like a potted plant. But once again, I can't recall the last time I carried a potted plant that was all that tall.

All of this talk makes me think of cars like the Studebaker Wagonaire and GMC Envoy XUV.

  3. Thx K2. I was not aware of the cinema seats in the Honda Fit. I like the packaging of the Fit very much. Some owners tell me that they find them buzzy on the highway. I have not driven one yet.

Does anyone eles remember an old French short film, about a guy carrying a tall plant in his small car? The plant is stuck out of the sunroof, and survives a harrowing journey.... and then a surprise ending (I won't spoil it in case I find that film on YouTube).

  4. Sounds familiar but I can't place it. Which movie was it?
