2009 Maserati Quattroporte Bellagio Fastback Touring

Love the MSRP.

Those are some hideous wheels, but the rest of the car...shwing!

Here's all you need to know about this station wagon.
  • Commissioned by  former Ducati head honcho, Carlo Bonomi
  • There were four built...I think
  • 19-inch Borranis
  • Dog barrier
  • Champagne fridge
  • Secret shotgun compartement
  • MSRP was around $400K US
  • 4.2-liter V8 with 400 hp...unchanged from standard base Quattroporte
  • Touring Superleggera hand-built each one

  1. Even if they display some Ye Olde World charm, I'm not a fan of those wheels on that vehicle either. But you're right, that wagon is gorgeous. Nice to know there's a place for the shotguns - finally! I was getting tired of driving the H&H Rover everywhere.

  2. You had me at "station wagon with ventiports". Or would those be called "Venti Porti" in this application. The wheels don't shock me too badly, maybe because I noticed that they did a nice job of mimicking the form and finish of the aforementioned ventiports.

A concealed shotgun compartment is so much classier than a gun rack on the back of the front-seat headrests!

It is a shame that Porsche did not take a good look at this beauty before they penned (or rather electronic-stylus-ed) the Panamerica. However, they have redeemed themselves with that gorgeous wagon variant that K2 shared with us earlier.

Now, where did I put that spare $400K I had laying around.... oh wait, is that a manual or an automatic?

  3. I thought Borrani was associated with wire wheels...? Don't think I've ever seen them on a car with a style like on this Maser-wagon.

Remember when that Biturbo caught fire as you were driving it, K2?

  4. You and your blasters, Nessa.

Yeah, I always thought Borranis were wire wheels too. Who knew.

I distinctly remember that Biturbo burning; the smell was horrific. It was an electrical fire in the engine bay. I was driving it in for service for one of our stupidly rich clients. Needless to say, they ended up with a new car, an MB 560SEC if I remember correctly. In the meantime we put them in a Camry, which I found hilarious.
