1960s-1980s Holden Station Wagons

Let me let you in on a little secret...

No Mad Max reference will be made here. Promise.

Yeehaw!
...I'm so confused about the history of the Holden HZ, Premiere and/or Kingswood (etc.) station wagons, that I'm loathe to even write anything about them. It might be better to leave it for another time, when I can properly research them, which I've been meaning to do for years.

Holden Kingswood Wagon...engines ranged from
medium-sized six-cylinders up to a 5.7 V8. These were
known for their exceptional ride; marketed as "jet smooth".
So let's set those aside for the moment and focus on one of the really odd variants within that line...the Holden Overlander Wagon 4x4. Read the fascinating history here, which once again highlights the ingenuity and pure chutzpah of the Aussies.

Before the jokes start flowing, that is not me in the video below. So there.
