1999-2003 Honda Avancier

Thanks for nothing, Mother Honda.

Oh just call it a wagon, fer chrissakes.

Nice, simple lines and wonderful proportions.
Here in the States, we got two generations of wonderful Accord wagons. The Crosstour followed the trends even further into "crossover" territory, but I'm willing to call that a third gen Accord wagon if you are. Then we can be pals based on a singular, unpopular choice to see all things wagon for what they are.

This is a "Nouvelle" trim variant.
Of course, overseas got other generations and shapes and sizes of Accord wagons that we did not. One of those was the 1999-2003 Honda Avancier. I won't repeat the typical 'cord specs, but yes Virginia, you could get the 2.3 and 3.0 of the times. Vertical height was increased and so was interior space. Why this surprises the automotive media every time is beyond me.

Minivan-like interior surprises nobody.

Crazily, it didn't sell well as you might have surmised from the limited time on the market. Double crazily, they brought the name back on a new vehicle this year that looks uncomfortably like the correctly failed Acura ZDX. Eeeeeyuck-o.
