K2 Drives: 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited
Don't get your knickers in a bunch, but the PT Cruiser is a ground-breaking car. Seriously.

K2 Drives: Let's Go Shopping! Again.
For no particular reason and after 12 great years, I've suddenly got an itch to consider replacing the Shadowagon. Is the car selling world ready for one of the most OCD gearheads ever? Will I unintentionally decapitate a salesman/seller or will I buy a freezer from an Eskimo? Stay tuned to the REVolution over the next couple of days and find out! It's gonna be...fun?

1986-1994 Vauxhall Carlton Estate
Based on the Omega, this was the Mark II version of the Vauxhall Carlton estate. It's of course related to the Holden Commodore, which we've already taken a look at. Power came from a couple of GM 4-bangers, a V6 and a turbo diesel.

1972-1977 Volga GAZ-24-24
A 2.4 95 hp 4-banger, 4-speed manual (only!) and 8-passenger seating. You're stylin' now, Comrade! I love that roof spoiler and...hey, wait a minute...isn't that the Tetris music?

1998-2001 Skoda Felicia II Combi
4-cylinder petrol engines ranged from 3 different 1.3-liters with 54, 58 and 68 hp, a 1.6 with 75 and a diesel with 64 hp. Like most VWs, the Felicia was a nice enough car that couldn't stand the test of time.

Ford SHO Wagon
Is there a hardcore car enthusiast over the age of 40 that didn't wonder why Ford didn't produce an SHO wagon? Maybe, somewhere. Here's one guy's answer to that question.
And while we're on the subject, I've often wondered why Ford didn't utilize the SHO label more. Like the hallowed M badge or any number of other performance variants, I think they could have gotten a lot of mileage out it, no pun intended. Yes yes yes, they've had many; SVO, RS, Cobra, etc. That might be a reason why they didn't. It's a moot point anyway, I suppose.

This happens to be a Mercury Sable, which was a rebadged Taurus. |
