Install A Fireplace In Your Car

The end of the world is night! You're going to need an alternative heat source in your whip. But you've got the solution, you say. It will be brilliant, you say.

You wanna do what? Install a fireplace in your car? And you wanna generate power for you "smart" phone, too. You're out of your post-apocalyptic mind.

Okay, it's going into a motorhome, but seriously. Is that even possible? According to this guy, it is. Please don't blame us if your Firenza, Fiero or Maserati burn to the ground. Even Bowser is wondering if this was a good idea.

  1. Well having watched the whole installation video, I have to say:
    - really nice stove! I have never seen one with such low clearance requirements
    - looks like a very proper installation; I was hoping to catch him out on some important safety aspect, but frankly it looks like they thought of everything.
    - I guess my only concern would be cracking those nice granite tiles due to flex when driving, but they are more decorative than functional anyway (that concrete backer board is the heat shield).

I see people who have wood stoves in tents, so I guess this is no worse. Good luck to him!

    1. Agreed! But did you check out the price tag? Therein lies the rub.

    2. Indeed, the price tag was jaw-dropping. At least it does LOOK like it should cost a lot of money.
