1958-1974 AMC Abassador Station Wagon
Several of you have contacted me and said, "Don't forget the AMC Ambassador station wagon!" How could I?!? It had a long run and production numbers are high. I won't get into details, because so many of you already know all about it. Here's a video from the final model year. I love it because it's really nothing more than some dude washing his car.

Yep, just a dude washing his car. Who films stuff like that? I am surprised that he doesn't blow off the paint or trim with that pressure washer!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Seriously.
DeleteSo, here's a piece of trivia for you: I was just watching Ron Howard's film about the Beatles "Eight Days a Week". At the end of their biggest concert ever at Shea Stadium in 1966 (over 56,000 screaming fans), the Fab Four were whisked away in..... a Rambler Ambassador Station Wagon!
ReplyDeleteI am not 100% sure but I think the car may be the one in the background of this photo:

And you can see the back of the car, waiting for them on the left of this photo:
