1970 Meyers Manx SR
Ever wonder what it would be like to own a collector car that was owned by a brand fanatic and historian? Ever wonder what it would be like to own the second car produced? Here's your chance to own and drive a piece of car history. Not only that, but it's easy to maintain and fun to drive! An amazing car for the right collector.

Gee, I had a look at this and thought "Nice VW kit, well styled, historically significant-ish, a bit pricey maybe", then I noticed the spare fan belt, and thought "Wow, pretty long belt, but good to carry a spare I suppose". Then I got to the engine shots! Oh my word, a Corvair Six. Suddenly the car did not seem so pricey. This is quite neat. Sadly, I see that the auction ended without a bid.
ReplyDeleteNot that I have the money but $20K seems like a reasonable amount of money to me for this car. I believe Bruce Meyers is still alive and it would be neat to get his signature on this.
ReplyDelete...and then it would be fun to go buy a Norton Manx to go along with it.
