Bullet dodged...or is that RAMmed? |
Here's the short of it; Nissan-Renault now controls Mitsubishi, the Japanese automaker that probably should have been shuttered several years ago. There's no promise that things will really get all that much better, but at least the brand will stay afloat a little bit longer. Their current lineup continues its pathetic-ness, so don't get too excited. The only upcoming vehicle is an hybrid Outlander. Oy vey, that'll save the day. Hope N-R likes bleeding money.
I am trying to figure out what Nissan wanted from the Mitsu line up. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteKei-cars supposedly.
ReplyDeleteThat would include the eK, Town Box and i-MiEV. My guess is that they'll do something with the Mirage too.
ReplyDeleteIt's fascinating what dirty tricks N-R pulled to acquire Mitsu cheap, what with them being the ones who snitched on them over the MPG scandal, causing stock values to plummet. Nasty in the extreme. Sounds like a marriage made in hell, to me.
